Honda Civic 2007 MOT advisory 2.4.G.2

Hello. I need some advise on an MOT advisory note.

001 Tie bar/rod has slight play in a ball joint Front Inner (Both).

I wanted this issue to be fixed and wanted an idea of how much it will cost from an independent garage.

Assuming a it means a pair of track rod ends then for blueprint items probably under £50, 1-1.5hrs to fit then the wheel alignment doing

Ballpark for a garage £250-£300 I reckon

As the advisory says Front Inner (Both) I would expect that to be inner track rod ends, therefore a steering rack removal refurb or replacement needed. Ask for quote, the rack itself could be rather expensive.

I think that if you want a quote from an independant garage, it's always best to ring around a few garages and get a quote.
