Should I buy an NSX
Discussion
Chris Harris filmed a video in the wet featuring a Honda NSX, Audi R8 V10 Plus (I think) and a Porsche 911 Turbo.
In summary, all were great cars but the Honda NSX wasn't the outstanding winner however all depends on your particular circumstances.
Personally if spending near on £140k for a new car, I wouldn't buy an NSX.

^ I'd take the NSX over the R8 and 991 Turbo without hesitation.

But would you take it over, say, a McLaren 570?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcHHRyeX-M0

I did actually have a deposit down on a Mclaren LT, but cancelled due to the disgusting customer service, hence why I am now looking at an NSX.
Have considered a Porsche, but to many around, I want something a little bit left field.
Assuming you mean the 600LT, I don’t blame you.Have considered a Porsche, but to many around, I want something a little bit left field.
As a matter of interest, what’s servicing availability like for the NSX? I assume only a handful of Honda dealers are equipped to look after the NSX.
Also, what are the expected running costs such as servicing?
I do love them!

To be honest yes I would. I like the fact it's not the obvious choice. I also like the fact they are rare (I've only seen one NSX, I've lost count of how many R8 and 991 Turbos I've seen...). They just appeal to me in a way that the others do not.
This one especially looks decent value..

I would advise you to visit NSXPrime.com and have a look at the Second Generation forums.
If you are buying new, you can configure the car to your taste - that is one big advantage over buying used. Also, any car that you buy new now would have the 2019 refresh updates, and be free from the recall issues that apply to earlier cars - fuel tanks need to be replaced and there is an issue with the centre rear brake light.
As NSX production and sales are so low, you will have a very rare and exclusive car.

All of the above - by all accounts the 2019 updates tidy up some of the disappointing bits in the original car nicely. If you are buying new, you can configure the car to your taste - that is one big advantage over buying used. As for residuals - whilst it'll remain a rare car I'm not sure the badge and current market behaviour would lead to very good residuals...would suggest the German motors would do better in that regard.
Ref. Customer Service - don't expect a lot from Honda UK, but there are some very good individual dealers around who will look after you.
I think I am going to pull the trigger and get one.
The interior, as mentioned by other people, really does let the vehicle down. For a £150k car, it is terrible, but the exterior styling and performance outweighs that issue for me.
If I do go for one, I just need to decide whether to wait for the 2019 MY to arrive. Not sure its worth the wait, it only has very minor cosmetic changes, nothing really that I would notice.
Just have to work hard on the man maths.
