Integra DC5 - difficult to sell?

I could do with a car to run for a while while I fix my daily st box.
I've always wanted a DC5, I might go buy a red one. They dont appear too expensive to run but Ive come from an E92 M3 so was used to running that
Are they slow to shift on? I don't intend to keep it long (unless I actually like it but I doubt I will), maybe 6 months or so and I dont mind losing a couple of £ if I needed to shift it on cheap.
Just worried Ill end up stuck with it. There are cars FS that have been about for a while (I think I recognise a few in the classifieds that have been there ages).

One i was looking at SP04 LML has been in a minor crash although is HPI clear. New steering rack and other suspension components in 2013 as a result. I will avoid.

Yes and no...
I've owned my red one for 2 years. They hold their value very well, however you have to really want one to pay the money for a decent one, it is a 16yo honda after all...this means a lot of people settle for EP3s.
Prices have dipped slightly in the last month as quite a few are coming up for sale before coming off the road for winter...bad time of year to sell really.
In the summer there are usually fewer for sale and good ones command good money.
Unmodified low milers sell better, a lot of people want Champ white and red seats, but there is deffo a market for the rarer colours like the red.
At the end of the day they are a desirable car thats holding value, as long as the price reflects the current market, the car has been maintained, and theres no rust around the rear wheel arches, then selling shouldn't be a problem.

Like a lot of JDM stuff it's a 'scene' car - which means there's limited market for it (most casual buyers won't have a clue what it is and why it's >2x the cost of en EP3), but those that do want one understand the value of it.
So vs an E92 M3 it'll probably take longer to shift but you're less likely to deal with tyre-kickers and shysters.

The pricing thing can be misleading though.
For example, most sub £8k DC5s need work, and most likely the rear arches will be showing signs of letting go. For every one minter bargain there are 10 that are that price for a very good reason.
One of those things really, you can buy a serviceable one and spend £2k tidying it up, or buy a minter for a couple grand more and not have the hassle.
There are a lot of people at the moment expecting tidy DC5s for EP3 money, whilst the good cars hold their value and sell for the asking, too many dreamers around.
The immaculate higher priced cars never hang around long in the DC5 scene, and are usually bought by people already familiar with them who are willing to pay the money for an exceptional example. A very clean low mileage PFL will fetch £10k+ in the summer easily...they were changing hands for this around 2-3 months ago. Facelifts for £11k plus, although the gap between the two is closing as it's mostly about which look you prefer rather than the very minor spec differences.

Well I guess sometime I'll find out the answer to my question.....
The DC5 has hugely exceeded my expectations within a couple of hours. Honestly not had this much fun in a car for years it feels fun at 50mph even. The E92 m3 can go bks. Remimds me of my old Megane 275 but better. Diff will take some getting used to like the Megane but it's useful to drag yourself round corners.
Steering is sublime as well.
Had some bloke in a GTI asking me about it at the petrol station and taking photos of it within 5 minutes of owning it!
Can't believe I waited this long to own one.
Great purchase, I had mine for just under two years and only replaced it with an Evo.
You mention the steering, it's so precise and perfectly weighted in the Integra. The Evo is a bit of a blunt instrument by comparison.
One thing that made it an even better steer was a Royal's steering wheel retrim:

So many people denigrate fast Hondas because of the EP3 and (largely the press reviews of) the S2000. Or just as often without driving any of them.
Both Integras are very different...
