Hello all,

I am considering buying a new (to me) car next year, and have pretty much settled on a Honda Civic with an automatic transmission as this suits the needs of me and my wife.

I wanted to know when Honda introduced the CVT transmission. I would, ideally, like a model from 2015 onwards. I'm not opposed to the CVT transmission, but my research suggests the servicing intervals are shorter than a "conventional" torque-converter automatic transmission (yes, they have servicing intervals, even Honda themselves state that! No stupid "fill for life" here).

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

CVT's are only on the new 2017 shape - anything with a 1.0 or 1.5 petrol engine has a CVT (unless it's a manual of course)

Previous generation 1.8 petrol auto's are traditional boxes.
