We bought a 1.8 vtech 2009 Civic i-shift a few months ago. Best of both worlds. It's a manual gearbox, that has been automated. Can't believe how well it drives. Economical beyond expectations, Averaging 48 mpg with mixed driving.
I have to say that I'm really not a fan of automated manuals. To me it feels as though the clutch and gear changes are being controlled by a learner on their first driving lesson.
Then again, I drive a 20-year-old Peugeot, so each to their own!
I have driven one before. It was a nice car, auto mode was relaxing and manual mode with the paddles was fun! I seem to remember you had to get the software updated and it will improve the gear changes.
Yeah, dealer said the auto box has been reset. And to drive it for 3 months. The history shows the box was updated with software a few years ago. Feels very good. Not like a sloppy auto box at all.
