Firstly my apologies, not very PH I know.
How much should I be looking at for supply and fit of a new clutch to a 2007 MK3 CRV CDTi 2.2?
Local dealer quoted £850
I am assuming although a lengthy job that it requires no specific "skills" that a dealer may have so any competent garage should be able to do it without difficulty.
Is there any brand of clutch that may be better than others? Have seen Sachs xTend for around £190 for supply only of the kit.
It's a used car I bought 6 weeks ago with 75k on. Done 2500m since. Clutch seems to slip in 2nd and 3rd between 2k and 3k rpm. EG if flooring it coming off a roundabout.
On a side note I am mightily impressed with this old CRV, apart from the clutch obviously. Spacious, comfy, 43mpg. I was looking for an older car for my 10000 work miles and this seems just the job.
What are folks experience of clutch replacement?
Many thanks
