EP3 - Power loss/trouble starting. Code P0171

Just had the big 75k service on my Civic Type R EP3 '05 - less than two months later I seem to be having a fuel problem (at least that's what it feels like). It starts fine when cold, but when warm the engine seems to struggle to get going, although has not failed to start yet, just slowly splutters in to life. It drives fine under around 4k rpm but anything more you can have your foot flat to the ground and barely accelerate at all.

The engine light came on so I checked the code, P0171: System too lean Bank 1. Seems to confirm it's a fueling issue - please tell me if it could be otherwise though. I've seen a few forum posts saying it's the fuel filter but Honda just replaced that so I'm not sure it is that unless they put in a faulty one. I'll be putting it in the workshop tomorrow regardless but wondered if anyone had the same issue and could offer any advice to maybe save paying a repair bill!

For anyone else that has this problem - Honda fixed it for free saying it was a faulty fuel pump connection. Assuming that means it was just a loose or perished plug somewhere.
