Hi,
My ep3 type r is used for sprints and hillclimbs in the standard class. This means absolutely standard. There are lots of suggestions on the net but they involve camber changes and after market springs so I wondered what people would recommend for standard? I'd like gentle oversteer on turn in.
Thanks

With no camber adjustment all you can do is put the toe out at the front, and in at the rear. As you can't upgrade the rear ARB size, I would just make sure that the bushes and drop links are in top condition - cheap to do as well.

Like above, Front camber bolts would be the ideal situation.

Might be able to loosen off the rear camber arms from body and get rid of some of the negative rear camber, Might be a touch of adjustment with the holes.

0 toe or some toe out F & R is your friend.

If it was my car I would run 0 toe on rear and around 8-12mins (1-1.5mm approx) toe out on front.

By the way - would camber bolts help with standard springs, anyway? I thought they were only if you had shorter springs.

For definite, Camber is virtually static on these cars at front and doesn't move much with compression. Get some camber bolts in and max them out, You'll get around -1.5 degrees.

I would start off with zero toe front and rear like mentioned.

Unsure if the class allows rear camber arms but not a priority with standard suspension because rear setup is multi link, But you could use them to straighten up rear wheels for a little less rear grip if you'd like a little more oversteer on turn in.

Thanks for the reply.

Since the original question the car's use has changed. Before it was primarily track but occasional road if needed (other cars being serviced, for example). Now it takes me to work at least twice a week. Still only a few thousand miles a year. Will ) degrees at both ends have much effect on the life of my Pilot 4s that are being fitted on Saturday?
