Honda Accord no go glow.

Tricky starting problem on my mates accord, need help with this one! So details are: 2004 Honda Accord Diesel Tourer. has had intermittent starting problem. Sometimes starts, sometimes cranks over no fireup. When engine won't start flashing green key symbol on dash. Car goes to Honda they replace transponder on ignition barrel. Car won,t start.They say maybe new fuse box or ECU needed.( bit vague ) Now car on my drive, will not start just spins over but I have noticed that there is no glow plug symbol on dash at all. This is a symptom on bad ECU on VW's but can find nothing on Hondas with this symptom. both keys work, good S/H and no fault code found by Honda. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. Ant.

Just got home from work, key in, glow plug light came on, car started! Must be connected. Glow plug relay and immobiliser? wouldn't have put those two together. Engine now warm and car won't start so maybe temp related? Gonna post this on Honda forum and hope!
