Honda Diesel Engine for Civic 8 Generation

Hello to all members. I am from Pakistan. I have a legendary Honda Civic 8 Generation with a R18A engine manual 5 speed transmission. I want to swap its engine from gasoline to diesel as i am fan of Diesel cars. Which diesel engine you prefer me.? I know N22A engine is in Honda Civic 8 Generation but unfortunately no diesel engine of honda is available in Pakistan. Kindly tell me if N22A engine could be swap with R18A with the same gear box and engine foundations?
