Mk9 Civic diffuser

Can anyone tell me please, is it possible to buy and fit a rear bumper diffuser from a 2014 Civic, to a 2012 model? I personally think it's a much better look with this so I need to know whether I can retro fit, does it literally just clip on, or do I need to buy a car that's 2 years newer just for this.
