Was it the 2009 or 2010 that got the LSD?
A friend had one with the 19s, bonecrunching ride to put it mildly.
Cars manufactured after April 2010 by the sounds of it but it's quite hard to work out if you've got one without either jacking the car up or giving Honda a call with the VIN. (Or buying the champ white 2009 model which all got it)A friend had one with the 19s, bonecrunching ride to put it mildly.
Nice purchase OP.
If you are getting rattles that sound like its coming from the dash, it might be where the windscreen meets the trim under the bonnet. Well documented problem. Just incase its driving you mad! easy to fix. I did mine a couple months back and its been fine ever since.

Also make sure you keep an eye on the oil levels. Depending on usage its not uncommon for it to use a litre every 800 miles. I always have a top up in the boot, and check it once or every other week. Common sense really if you like sticking it in vtec!
Sat Nav you should be able to get a DVD with updated maps? maybe worth checking ebay.

Thanks. I will have a look. The worst rattle/squeak was the perspex on the speedometer, which is fixed currently with an unsightly strip of thick double sided tape. The other is over on the passenger side somewhere. If you are getting rattles that sound like its coming from the dash, it might be where the windscreen meets the trim under the bonnet. I have read about the oil levels - though the chap says it doesn't burn oil. Will keep an eye. This may sound like a daft question, but do you just top it up through the cap with the dipstick and a funnel, and does it matter if I top it up with an oil that is different to that which is already there - as I do not know what oil was used at the last change (or should I just have the oil changed...).
if you don't know when the last oil change was done, might be worth doing it/getting it done for peace of mind.

I know the last oil change was in May by a main dealer, when the car was serviced.
Congrats on your choice, you went for the fastest colour Any idea what oil was used? when i first had mine i was using Castrol 0W-30 which it went through rather quickly, since switching to Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5W-40 the consumption is far less even when using plenty of VTEC
Powdercoating is totally fine, i've had 3 or 4 sets painted using that method with no ill-effects whatsoever.
There is some online myth style debate over whether the oven makes the wheels brittle, but i think that only applies to some very specific wheels.
That said, there's nothing wrong with wet spraying them either, it really makes no odds in terms of the finish.

Just noticed the car doesn't have a Type R grille badge. To get a cheap eBay replica or shell out sixty quid for an original...
Or alternatively you can check eBay or a local beakers yard and see if they have a complete grille for sale. Or even failing that my local Honda dealer has an accord type r grille badge for sale for £20 posted. Won't have the correct font 'R' but it's a genuine part and it might even fit if you're lucky
