CW FN2 v Normal FN2
Discussion
In the market for one of these. Is the two grand premium worth it for the CW FN2? I can get a 50-60k mile 2009 Milano Red for around 6k, or a similar CW for around 8k. Thoughts? I don't mind paying the extra if in a few years I want to sell it I recoup most of the extra. The LSD is a big bonus too - if I went for a 2010/11 Milano Red with the LSD, I'd still be looking around the 8-9k mark.
I have a 2009 I believe which has the open diff, and it still feels like it has far more front end grip than it deserves to have for a FWD. Really feels great on the roads. Unless you're thinking of tracking it, you probably won't notice a difference day to day.
Alternatively and cheaper than the CW premium, if you went for a 2010 model year they were all fitted with a locking diff as standard. Or there's a company called MFactory which sell aftermarket ones for 5-600 quid so you've got another couple of options there.
Personally, unless you were desperate for white, I wouldn't bother. FN2's were always seen as the bd child, so I don't think you'll gain much by going for the slightly more rare model, as none of them are exactly highly desirable.

I agree with this, mine is also a 2009 model and it is an absolute hoot to driveAlternatively and cheaper than the CW premium, if you went for a 2010 model year they were all fitted with a locking diff as standard. I would either save the money or get a newer FN2, the premium for different paint and an LSD a year earlier really is not worth it
