Hi folks,
Had our 2004 CRV Premiere for a year and done about 7000 miles on top of the 60000 it had when we got it and we both love it.

As usual on any 'new to me' vehicle I changed all of its bodily fluids soon after buying.
I drained and filled the rear diff and used the genuine Honda Dual pump fluid. All was well until recently when I can hear a slight creaking noise, possibly from the off side rear. This occurs only at low speed and in a straight line too, even at less than walking pace as you lift the clutch pedal to move. At first I thought it might be a creaking suspension bush but no amount of rocking and bouncing produces the noise.
It passed it's MOT just last week with no advisories and I specifically asked him to check all around the rear end.

Any ideas?

Ian

Had same problem with ours, which is well known. Use the latest Honda oil in the diff/gearbox
Solved it for us

Thanks for that but as I said I changed the diff oil for new gen Honda dual pump fluid and it creaks even when gently setting off in a straight line, whereas everyone else has the problem at low speed when turning on full lock - which IS cured by changing the diff oil.
