Hi Chaps and Chapesses!
I have got a standard EP3 civic, not a typre R or a type S or anything but I love it all the same. It's actually a really really clean car underneath and it brilliant condition.
But it wallows a bit (lots)!
I have improved it considerably with carefully selected tyres but I cant help but feel that they would be able to do a better job if they weren't trying to hold up a big massive jelly.
So I decided today after doing well at a half marathon that I'm going to get treat myself and get a strut brace and in the new year I will lower it a bit (25-30mm)
Do any of you know if a type R brace will fit a standard civic? all the ones that I have found say type R. I had a look under the bonnet and the brake fluid reservoir seems to be in an awkward place but research shows that its the same on a type R and everything else looks the same too. Do you think it would be alright?
Just thought I'd ask before I take the plunge! Cheers!
Dunk
P.S. I know I'd be better off just buying a type R haha.

On an EP3 the OEM brace is lower down, below the MC and strut tops.
You'd be best off buying a set of dampers and some good quality lowering springs, some front camber bolts and rear camber arms and if you really want to go to town thicker ARBs.
My stock engined EP3 running Eibach 30mm springs on stock dampers, thicker RARB, adjustable camber front and rear with a decent geo setup managed to pull a lap round the Ring in 8:48... With the right mods they are such capable cars!
