2008 Legend - Scratching an itch - Spending a fortune
Discussion
Well its always been on my radar as something interesting, a sort of mixture that is not so common with soft riding suspension, a howling v-tec and loads of kit wrapped up in an invisible body.
2 years ago at £10k I was interested but didnt "pull the trigger" but now I have a need for kid carrier, commuter in all weathers, and client visiting vehicle - I think its perfect and at £6k ish whats not to like.
One car I enquired after had just been serviced at 80k at a cost of .......... £950 or nearly 20% of its value wow. So not cheap to run and poor on juice but cheap to buy.
I am very aware that once I have one it will be easier to shift a STD but as I was planning on leasing something spending £5k over 2 years I figure anything I get back after 2 years is a plus (!)
The range - well one car in not many guises, base car, base car with bigger wheels, base car with radar cruise and lane steer, bigger wheels car with radar cruise and lane steer. At the time the Legend was capable of driving itself on radar cruise and within white lines but this was watered down to 15 seconds at a time only for insurance reasons I believe.
However - some cars have cooled seats seemingly at random which puzzles me, it seems they made one batch of UK Legends and imported them in one go and stuck them in a field, last ones built got cooled seats but they still all came over to the UK at the same time meaning it was luck of the draw.
So I am looking at present and they vary from £10k to £5k based on mileage ..... write up in readers cars when it arrives.
Anyone got one ? anything to look for ?

I know this car very well, and it is in fantastic condition. It puts mercs etc to shame.
No issues, almost full Honda Service History and a recent (Honda) diff and transmission fluids service.
Has 'cooled' seats too!
Priced very reasonably looking around at what's available.
what a lot of car for the money these are!

Back on the radar, 3 cars are down to two in January the Leaf till March and the Outback, if I can persuade the Mrs to use the Outback I can get something else if not I may get her a cheap lease car.
So anyone seen anything ? under 100k miles - the cream cars seem to be in the main dealers unfortunately.

I had a test drive of a 2007 legend with 53K on the clock just after christmas. Only 1 doctor owner and FSH. £5990. I would have bought the car ( very impressed with it ) but was only offered £1500 p/ex for a 2003 Audi A8 with a couple of weeks MOT and a few issues to sort out.
Ended up buying a 2007 Suburu 3.0 outback for £5000. Got £2000 for the Audi.
