Which Type R are you talking about - I'm assuming the NSX.
If so, no NSX Type R was available for sale from Honda UK. They were only available in Japan, firstly in November 1992, (until 1996) then in December 2001 until late 2005. In between was the NSX Type-S Zero which was effectively a Type R with the C32B engine in the pre-02+ body.
There are many variants over the life of the NSX Type R - far too much to go into here.

Integra DC2, I think, as that was actually sold in the UK.If so, no NSX Type R was available for sale from Honda UK. Hi
I'm giving a presentation on Honda Type R, its all ready to go but I've noticed a problem; Honda started selling Type R's in the UK from 1997 however the NSX Type R started production in the UK in 1990, so surely it also started selling that year in the UK?
Cheers.
Just say, the Jap's kept the best Type R's for themselves.....EK9, DC2 '98 Spec, DB8, NA1, NA2, JDM Spec EP3, DC5, CL7, FD2 etc etc..I'm giving a presentation on Honda Type R, its all ready to go but I've noticed a problem; Honda started selling Type R's in the UK from 1997 however the NSX Type R started production in the UK in 1990, so surely it also started selling that year in the UK?

Honda UK hate the UK enthusiast market, which is why we don't get 'the good stuff.'

I don't think it's a case of Honda UK hating enthusiasts, more so that Honda have assessed the market and established that the bulk of Europeans are deemed to be not as demanding when it comes to driver's cars hence the likes of the FN2 not having independent rear suspension & LSD, the EP3 not coming with LSD, EK9s not even making an appearance yet 1.6 VTI EGs & other B16 equipped cars are desirable.
