Honda Air con pumps.....
Discussion
I'm hoping someone can assist with deciphering part numbers for Honda Air Con Compressors?
I'm pretty sure my pump/compressor has failed on my 2003 Civic type R EP3. A bit of searching tells me the part number is HS-090R and they are made by KEIHN. Ebay search for HS-090R brings up loads that have come off Civic's, Jazz's, and S2000's. They all have one number different on the label, and the serials numbers start with a different letter. So a Civic would have '2K' and a serial number starting 'EK'. A Jazz unit would have '40' and a serial number startting EU.
What I want to know is, are they the same? Can I use a Jazz unit on my Civic? Could this number relate to the pulley/clutch? might thia be different?
The Jazz ones tend to be a bit cheaper, and newer, so might be a better option...
Thanks

Go onto lings Honda parts website and search via your chassis number for the part and then try cross reference it from there.....
