Civic Type S 2010 - parking sensor and alloys advice!
Discussion
Hi everyone, first post for me here!
I'm buying a Civic Type S GT, the 2.2 diesel (see profile pic!). Its my first 8th gen civic.
It has the standard 17" silver alloys but I was wondering what size I could go up to without adjusting the car too much, and affecting the ride adversely, etc.
Any tips or experience adding parking sensors? Its the one bit of kit thats missing from the one I'm buying!
Also any recommendations for wheels retailers in Sussex/south east england?
Cheers in advance.

18"s were an option on these cars back then, obviously the Type R could go to 19"s so I guess in theory you can go that big if you wish, in my opinion the 18"s are more than you need really, I would stick with the 17"s personaly.
Genuine Honda parking sensors do look the best, they also come ready colour coded.

I think the Type R 18" wheels look great, but they are acknowledged as coming at a penalty to ride comfort. The standard 17s (as fitted to my car) look similar, but offer a bit more sidewall on the tyre.
I think spacers would help the stance of the car more than larger wheels. I will be looking to fit some along with Bilstein coilovers later in the year.
