RA06 OMX - Does anyone know this car?
Discussion
It's spent most of its life in the Bury St Edmund's area - the same dealer has been servicing it for most of its life.
Trying to track down the previous owner because it has had an exhaust mod which makes it much louder (a bit too loud on dual carriageways) and I'd like more details to see about reversing the change.

Just the usual - apparently it was owned by a retired chap who wants something he can take his grandchildren out in. Not quite the same as the actual 27 year old previous owner... Also didn't mention the missing tonneau cover or toolkit, the brakes in need of replacement, etc.
That old chestnut! The people who moved in above me were told the place below was owned by an old woman - and were shocked to see 2 mid 20's guys living there
Tonneau cover is just a pain and are given away on s2ki often. toolkit probably cheap on ebay (you sure it's not hidden under the floor?) and brakes can be done cheaply - I did all 4 discs and all pads for less than £200...
Forgot the other great tales from the salesman.. Apparently only he and the sales manager are allowed to take customers out in the S2000 because it's so powerful and the sales manager doesn't like to because it's too quick. Was given stern warnings that it's far too easy to speed in it. Erm, I think it's far easier to hit silly speeds without noticing in my flying armchair (ok, turbo'd 2.8 Saab...) than in a soft top with a modified exhaust system.
Was given all sorts of warnings not to go above 4000 rpm unless pointing dead straight ahead, this is despite explaining that I'd driven V12 E-Types and an XKR in the wet before without any problem.. Supposedly this Honda is more of a handful than either of those!

Afternoon - former owner here!
Haven't been on pistonheads for ages - was surprised to be contacted about my car.
Seems it has now been sold as the dealer rang me asking if I still have the tool kit, spare wheel etc (all taken out due to sound system upgrades being intergrated) for the buyer.
I had to put up with the 'dangers of the S2000' chat when I sold it. Nonsense...especailly on a 2006 model. I managed to put over 40,000 on it and span once (no damage and my fault).
Still, good to see the pistonheads detectives have still got it!
