If you are looking for 'poke' I don't think you'll find it in a 2.0 Accord auto. Maybe a 2.4.
I have a 2010 Accord diesel auto, which is lively (within the limits of a diesel engine powerband, rather than the way my lovely 2.2 VTEC used to deliver power), comfortable, quiet and fairly economical.
It is, however, not put together and painted the way Hondas used to be. It doesn't have a huge amount of legroom in the back either.

Not very special. But I had a VTEC 4-wheel-steer Prelude before so it isn't a fair comparison. It's a good ride but in no way sporting, partly - I guess - because of the electric power steering. It's a big motor of course and one that has overgrown itself, in my opinion.

Hi i just took a test drive on the 2.0 ex auto the steering felt really light and very slow even when i pressed the peddle flat to the floor the car was not moving at all lol felt slow and heavy... going over humps and potholes was noticable felt stiff and hard .. not sure if i tried a bad example because the salesman stated the car was due a service.. other then these issues the car looked good exterior and interior wise.

They say the 2.4 is much more lively. It's what I would have bought if I hadn't been sidetracked into the diesel - but I live in France and there was a certain inevitability about it...
