EPS Light. Civic Sport ''03 plate
Discussion
Hello!
I was wondering if I could grab some advise from you good people?
I have a owned a Civic Sport from new on an 03 plate. She has only done 70k mikes and is only used about 2-3 times a week these days due to work.
After 10 years of trouble-free motoring, I now have a fault.
The car was warming up on my driveway last night as it hasn't run for a couple of weeks, something called Christmas loomed up faster than a top fuel drag.
Anyway, everything was ok but then the EPS light came on. The car was stationary, but the steering did feel very heavy. I don't turn the wheel while the car is stationary as a general rule.
I turned the car off, left it for 5 minutes and turned it back on again but the EPS light remains on so I turned it all off again and made some dinner.
Has anyone else had this happen and what does it mean?
There is no fluid leak, the pump has never made a noise and as far as I'm aware, the fuses are all ok.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm moving house on Monday and I can't move my car!
Thanks in advance,
Nige
