I want to replace my headunit in my 08 S2000 with something that I can use my Iphone with (not bothereed about playing MP3). Are the CD/radio headunits wth a Parrot interface the best to go for?
Also I would want to retain the remote controls on the dash.
Any suggestions or recommendations please?

I run a bluetooth enabled Pioneer head unit with 2 USB outputs.

I find that the sound quality is far better plugged into the phone via a wire run from the back of the head unit than with bluetooth.

My dash controls work and the head unit can search through the albums etc without touching the phone.

It might be overkill as I have an uprated sound system etc so it depends on how far you want to go and how much you want to spend.

I use a DEH-8400BT with a modified knob to fit behind the panel.

Thanks I'm not too bothered about playing music from my phone as I'm happy with the radio and CDs. I'll check out this Pioneer

This is the interface that you want so that the OEM controls will work, it has the added bonus of being able to turn the volume up/down with speed for you too, which i'm a big fan of.

Think I went for the pioneer deh-4400bt.

£130 all in, fits behind the dash with no modification, works perfectly with an iphone (5 too) and has bluetooth and a mic, I use it when driving with the mic behind the sun visor, and it streams music automatically from my phone as soon as I enter the vehicle without having to take it out my pocket and start it.

Also has rear USB slots so you can use a cable if you desire.

I bought the standard auto leads kit rather than the modifry one, it works perfectly with all the functions and is cheaper than modifry.
