Sorry it's a rather sedate CRV and not some drift prepared S2000 or something

BUT my daughters 2002 CRV has a problem with the off side rear brake
its somehow rubbing and getting hot
I've stripped it all off and the disc, pads and the parking brake shoes inside the Disc/drum assembly are in very good clean shape.
the shoes are adjusted with maximum clearance to see if that helped.
I can feel no movement in the wheel bearing but I can only think there is a slight movement there which is causing the disc/drum to run slightly out of line causing the edge of the brakes shoes to rub the drum slightly ??
Any ideas would be useful
Cheers
Steve

How freely does the wheel spin when it's jacked up?

At that age the caliper is probably seized or sticking

So there is no handbrake lever on the calliper, just shoes inside the disc?

Could be pitted or dirty piston holding the pads on.
Or, as I have had a long time ago, a collapsing flexi hose - restricting the fluid flow back to the master cylinder.
