I own a 2007 crv,its done 47,000 miles, over the last couple of months I can hear a drumming sound once above 20 mph.
I was informed it was a fault on the rear tires, had these changed, drumming noise still present, then someone said my rear brake discs had worn and this was causing the problem, had these replaced still noise continues.
On Wednesday 27th of November its going in to my local Honda dealer, explained the noise to them over the phone, they seemed baffled by it.
I now think its either cv joint, wheel bearing or worse case scenario the rear off side diffs gone,
I will report back when I get some news on the problem

My first thought was the bearing.

I had the same sound on my 2004 Civic Type R and it was caused by a seized rear brake caliper. Maybe worth checking that out too. Honda also told me the sound was cause by tyres but it didn't seem to fit with the sound.
