Hi all, pretty new to this so my apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I was testing my recently purchased 88crx on a trackday (as you do) and something went wrong. So i am currently searching for:

- Crx gearbox. For an 88 model 5sp manual. Its the d16 non-vtec model. I think it may make a difference to box?)

- Drive shafts for car. Both sides are needed.

- clutch advice, i figure the box will be off, i may as well. I don't need a race clutch, its pretty standard power but is there a good brand? Maybe a fast road option?

- any further advice, I am new to this cat and don't know my stuff. Open to advice.

thanks in advance

Myself and a mate use an H reg Honda Civic as a track car, we've just removed the D16 engine and gearbox to replace it with a B18. The original gearbox removed from the car didn't crunch in any gear even at high revs. From memory it's done around 120k miles, if you are interested in the gearbox I'll have a dig around in the garage to see if I can it I'm based in Suffolk as I think it would need collecting as too haevy to post.

Use the stock Honda clutch its perfectly suited for what you need wink and will give years of trouble free service driving apart from the odd bearing failure (input shaft bearing noisy) those gearboxes don't have any weaknesses so not quite sure what's happened to yours scratchchin
