Where would be the best place to source a 2nd hand K20a sump from? tried the classifieds here, and ebay, but not much going.

I had a repalcement engine delivered, that I'm dropping into my Lotus, and the sump has a small hairline crack in it that's weeping oil... Suspect it's from where it sat on the central block of the pallet, as it's otherwise unmarked.

If anybody can help, or indeed, has one going spare...

Cheers,
Martyn.

There is a guy on Ebay called Integrastella who brakes Type r's. It might be worth dropping him a message and see if he has anything.

Could you not get a plate welded over the crack?

Cheers chaps.

I'll give integrastella a try...

re: welding a plate over it.. It's always be there in the back of my mind as a weak point... Plus, I've heard that welding to a pre-oil soaked alloy sump is a right PITA!

If it's for track use, consider upgrading to a baffled sump

MSC also do one but can't see it listed http://www.hondaelise.com/parts-for-sale/optional-...
http://www.tgmsport.co.uk/ also do one iirc

If you've a few quid to spend, how about this:

I think there are cheaper kits around though.

I would love a SC K20 Elise one day!
