Anyone on here had to replace brake hoses on their car due to corrosion issues. Car is 1999 so 14 years old this week.
Amazingly it still passes the brake test requirements but a leak is a leak and that's an MOT Fail. To be safe it has been
suggested that the complete system is replaced ( replacement hoses from goodridge/hel etc are not the parts where the leak is.
Its also a fairly major job as the rear subframe need to be removed to access the hoses. Problem is the suggested lead time on replacement hoses is 8 weeks.

So - the questions are - has anybody else had this problem and if they have had non OEM hoses made up who did you get to do it

Cheers All

I believe it is becoming a common problem on S2000's (certainly the older ones) and your correct about dropping the rear subframe to replace them. Try these people http://www.helperformance.com/?gclid=CPnuk4K2yrkCF... as they have done braided replacements for other S2000's before so should have all the sizes etc.

Cheers.....Tony..

After all the panic of a late November delivery the parts came in the 3rd week of September and were duly fitted.

As a new owner of a 13 year old S2000 ( that's just gone through an MoT with no advisories) I'd be interested in knowing how much this set you back? If you don't mind sharing that info?

Cheers

Pete.

At 13 years old mine passed with no advisories !

parts and labour came in at around £900

Whilst they were at it I had both rear discs replaced ( again they were the originals) with pads but also needed a new nearside caliper, The offside one was replaced at 9 years old

Total bill including a couple of t shirts was £1592.50
