Thinking about investing in a set of these for track days and summer driving...

http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/samura...

thoughts on how these would look and feel on a red s2k?

also slightly confused that this site seems to think the same rim and tyre all round will be OK , when the OEM rears are normally a wider size?

Thumbs up for the tyre choice for track use.
I think the wheels would look great on a red car, although this is subjective.
I would personally stick to OEM sizes for the tyres or very close to it...

Depending on the width you go for with those offsets you may end up with rubbing. Factory offsets are high 50s going to 60.

Check out this site and it shows you wheels with the correct offset for the S2k.

I actually run the Enkei PF01s, perfect offset and sizes for the s2000.

You could use the same width wheels front and rear and vary the tire sizes or just go with a square tire setup, but you'll probably want a stiffer front anti roll bar if all tyres are the same to keep the balance of the car.

Out of interest, I'm looking to get some RPF1s now for my car, probably staggered fitments to keep the balance as intended - does anyone know a good place to order them from in the UK?

RPF1 you may struggle with offsets that won't rub? To be honest I would just order from the states, Tire rack had them with me in a week dead, very good company to deal with!

Isn't 225 a bit narrow for the rear? The later cars are 245 on the back with 17s. I plan to move to a 225 front 255 rear next time (currently 215 front, 245 rear)...

Getting the right size wheels, stagger, and offset confuses the st out of me frankly.

I can see that that set above isnt right - and I need staggered one. Ive been talking to someone from wheelbase alloys for days on email trying to get a straight answer and he cant seem to help either.

perhaps someone here can - I want a set of chunky spoked (5 spoke style) wheels in WHITE that will fit, or can be made to fit, a 2006 s2000 with the correct stagger. offset and no rubbing on OEM calipers or arches. Can anyone find any? Ive tried rotashop and several others as well and am having no luck.

From what I've read, the idea sizes that fit easily are:

17x7.5 +45 Front
17x9 +45 Rear

225/45
255/40

Depending how low your car is it may need a slight arch roll but nothing major.

I'm almost certain a 45 offset 9 inch rear with 255 will rub. I have et 60 offset and going to 255 is going to be close. But you could roll the arches I guess.

There aren't a huge amount of alloys for the s2k due to the high offset frown Tirerack shows most of them

Have a read here:
http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/342793-wheel-fitme...

Also have a general search on s2ki, that is the main s2000 website and the UK owners, like myself, are on there in the UK section.

Also this website is good:
www.willtheyfit.com

That lot should help a little.
