Problem with aux input on 09 Civic

Hi Everyone,
A friend of mine has just bought a 2009 Civic. With this stereo,
On a trip down to the coast yesterday, his girlfriend was playing her ipod through the aux input in the centre console.
Today however, the car will not play the ipod and it just says 'DISC CHANGER' on the display and no sound whatsoever from the ipod.
Its just an old Ipod nano.
Would any of you have any idea what has gone wrong?
