Honda civic trouble

Hi everyone. I have a Honda Civic EJ9 and I had an aftermarket stainless steel exhaust fitted. 4-2-1 manifold, decat mid pipe all 2.5 inch then a 5 inch back box ( I think ).

Just had a look at the exhaust on a ramp today because it was blowing and it looks like the exhaust isn't even meant for the car! The down pipe is sitting squint because the whole exhaust is being pulled to the back and it also isn't attached to any hangers( no where for it to be hung up). It is sitting totally wrong. It was also resting against/ cutting into the fuel tank! It has also dug into my control arms. I can't even weld it because it is stainless steel.

I am just wondering what your opinion on what I should do is? Should I talk to the seller about it? Put the standard exhaust back on with just the aftermarket back box? Would an ek4 exhaust fit?

Looks like a cheap eBay job that's designed to 'fit' all Civics from 92-00.

The problem is exactly what you've got, st fitment.

Either change it for another system or get that one modified by your local Powerflow etc place.

Mig welding stainless is ok just be prepared for the welds to rust unless you use stainless wire, stainless brazes nice but that's a bit old school, i would leave the down pipe if it's gas tight and cut/bend the rest as necessary good luck.

It's the connection between the manifold and downpipe that's blowing
