So, is the CR-V market particularly slow at the moment? Ok, so you don't have the winter rush on the things currently, but I'm surprised at the little interest in what is effectively a good car that I've got up for sale currently.

Is it a high miler? .. I recently bought one for carrying stuff about (DIY) and there weren't that many with 60k or less - with leather & climate of course. There were quite a few for sale in the garage I got mine from, just not the right spec or autos (which I hate).

Early 2002 car. 123k miles on the clock (which may seem like a lot, however it seems it's not uncommon for 250k!). Manual (avoiding costly issues with the auto boxes). No Sat Nav (avoiding costly issues with those). Good service history. Tow bar. Half leather (preferred the look of that rather than the full leather). Drives nicely.

my dad is thinking of selling his 50k 2008 CR-V with pretty much all the top options been ticked. he has gone into honda and been offered 12k which i think is a little low. will be watching this thread to see the outcome

£2749 is a bit on the high side for year and mileage imho. I've had my 01 crv for 7 years now and it's worth the square root of feck all, but I can't bring myself to get rid even though other vehicle purchases have come and gone. B20Z engine, one of the best Honda ever made, again imho!

There's a very clean but slightly dented high mileage (120k) 04 plate been up for sale near me for ages and he's had no luck selling so is willing to let it go for about £3k apparently.

I'd be inclined to hang on until nearer the winter if it was me; I have a set of spare wheels with snow tyres and mine's unstoppable in the white stuff biggrin

Fair enough on the price - I'm sure you're probably right. To be honest, when I priced the thing it seemed reasonable against what else was out there...then we had nice weather wink

I'm curious as to how much lower it'd have to be to attract interest. £2,495?

To be honest for £2k-£3k I'll probably just keep it. Fantastic car. Great load carrying ability. Was great in the snow.

I've heard that the 04 plate one near me has just sold for £2500 so gives you some indication of the current market. I obviously don't know your situation, but if it were me I'd just hang on until the bad weather arrives and 4x4's go for silly money.

I'm retired now and have told my family I want to be buried in mine when the time comes hehe

It's always difficult with vehicles that one's "heard" have sold for x - too many variables really!

To be honest, I'll probably keep it now and not let it out of my grasp!
