Right, so I've just about saved enough to buy and run a CTR, but I'm totally undecided what colour to go for. I'm after a 2005 one, and I'm drawn to Grey as that, but the Red will really turn heads, and the black does look very smart with the blacked out windows. So come on guys, give me some help...

Thanks

Well I've owned a ScratchHawk Black CTR since 2004. I don't like Milano Pink so if I had my time again it would be silver or grey

Grey is good because you know it's a facelifted one! But I've had so many boring colours in a row now (grey R5, white Impreza, silver Clio) that I really want a red CTR next smile

Can't remember what it's called, but I really like the metallic grey.

Cosmic Grey ... although I'm biased as I have a Cosmic Grey EP2

Grey for me to.

If you could get them in Pirates black as per Accord Type R/Civic MB6 VTI-S then I'd say black but the nighthawk black just doesn't have the same flair.

Cosmic grey is the nicest, and I say that as a Satin Silver EP3 owner.

I had a satin silver one. Nighthawk black looks much better - for about ten minutes after you've cleaned it.

Thanks for the comments. I'm after a 2005 grey CTR I think. The red does look pretty stunning, I don't think I can pull that off, and a friend has a black one, so I'm gonna try and go for grey if I can.

Cheers

This basically summed up Black and Red:

The Cosmic grey looks great, but isn't the most common colour! Silvef is just too boring.

Its common knowledge that Cosmic grey ones are the fastest ;-)

I like mine anyway, looks good clean but also hides the dirt well !

I think the grey compliments the EP3 shape quite well.

I bought a fn2 ctr nearly 2 months ago,in milano red,I didn't look for red or any other colour to be fair,I went to look at it and it looked nice in red, with dark tinted windows,so deal done,I think the ctr pulls of the red nicely, not every car can

I'm off to go look at 3 CTR's tomorrow afternoon, 1 in each colour funnily enough, not planned, but just so happens that 1 garage has a grey 54 plate, with 85k on it for £4795 and a black 05 plate, with 75k, for £5k and the red is at a seperate garage, 05 plate with 72k, also at £5k. I think all 3 have tax for a few months, the black has MOT due in July, the other 2 have about 9 months still left on.

I do like the grey, most to look at, but it seems the least best (if I can word it like that) of the 3. Plus it also depends if I can haggle another few £ off. Decisions, decisions...

Gutted. First one I went to view, the red one, had been sold about half an hour earlier. So drove for nearly an hour to view the other 2 in Bedford. Got there, and the place was a dump. The cars were priced differently to what they were advertised at online, Both had differences in the mileage and both had a lot of little marks and scratches. I walked away after a couple of minutes, it just didn't feel right. The garage had made very little effort to tidy them up. Shame really.

So now I have to be patient and wait for a few more to come up soon.

Funnily enough, I'm planning to go to Norwich this weekend to have a look at one of those. Fingers crossed this one's better than the 2 I saw last weekend.

Picked it up tonight. This car is by far and away the best car I've driven. To be fair, I've not driven that many, but this is so fast, so great to drive, looks so good and feels so right.

Dunno if I can handle 53miles for a 1/4 of a tank though. Must stop revving the bks off it hehe

Great car, and so glad I waited for the right one. Love it!!!
