In the civic all you need is to change the steering wheel for one with cruise control

OP, apologies for the thread resurrection, but how did you get on? I'd like to do the same retrofit to my wife's 2005 FRV.

If you read all that thread, it seems that it isn't as simple as at first suggested - the whole dash loom needed changing!

Our old (2003) CRV was retro-fitted from new with cruise control by the dealer (stalk control added to steering column rather than steering wheel). It worked nicely for the 9 years we owned the car. Sorry, no docs to state manufacturer and the car is now sold, but at least proof that it can be done!

OP, the description sounds a bit Heath Robinson, but it might be worth talking to these people if something more factory doesn't turn up.
