I have a 2005 Civic 1.6 and recently had new pads and disks fitted, but now i am getting a judder when i brake.
My question is, is it possible to fit the brake pads wrongly.i noticed 2 of the pads have metal prong on them and would like to know if anyone can tell me what position these 2 pads go in so i can check.
Thanks in advance.

Don't think the pad pads will fit with the 'prong' in the wrong positio. It is a while since I changed the pads on my 2005 Civic Type-S but the following is from memory. My question is, is it possible to fit the brake pads wrongly.i noticed 2 of the pads have metal prong on them and would like to know if anyone can tell me what position these 2 pads go in so i can check.

Only two of the four pads have the prongs. These prongs are on the pads which fit to the 'rear' of the disc and the prongs point towards the centre of the car.
Do a search on youtube. There are a few videos showing the changing of the pads (and discs) on a 2001-2005 Civic.
For example - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKVZ0oLkbCs at about 6min 30sec.
