I own a 52 plate honda civic type r with 100400 miles on the clock in silver.I have owned it since april 2004 when it had 74000 miles,it is in very good condition,no rust ,just age related wear on drivers seat body work is in very good condition. It sailed through the mot again last month with a couple of advisories(2 front tyres). Most of the mileage is motorway miles as i do 18 miles per day travelling to work. The oil and filter are changed regular using mobil 1 all the time, the clutch can be a little bit crunchy but when warmed up properly it seems to ease, although this was like this when i bought it,has anybody any ideas what i should sell for and what can i replace it with that is not a grandads car but not a boyracers car(I am 42 years old)still want something on a par with my civic as it has been totally reliable and fun to drive, all replies would be appreciated, thanks.

Supreme lurking - less than 2 posts per month since registering!
Have you done the usual AT/eBay price/mileage/age comparisons?
If not, then that's as good a place to start as any, inc completed for eBay, which only if you're registered, can you access.
Have a chat with your local Honda dealer for book price - they'll not be interested in yours due to age and mileage, so no conflict of interest.
From that, you'll be able to get an idea as to where it stands in the current market.

As for replacing - a more recent Civic? Accord?
Depends on what you need, but with only 18 miles per day to/from work, then petrol is still order of the day.
