What shall I do with this?

I had a 1994 Civic a few years ago and this came with it. I sold the car a few months later but I've just come across this which I forgot to give to the new owner.

I assume it's a remote key? It's sealed so I don't really want to open it up. I thought it was odd that it is in this cardboard Japanese box - possibly import?

Is it any use to anyone?
