Given that you will know how he has treated it etc it seems like a good price. Better than spending the same or more buying one elsewhere and not knowing its history imo.

On a side note I spotted your plate over on Ocuk, can I ask when you bought it? I was planning on buying it a while back but never got round to it, gutted as it was an appropriately geeky plate for me!

...i assume its "cheap" as its done 80+k...vtec engine is good for high miles as long as its had regular oil changes and good oil as well....its a very underrated car and came in for some unecassary stick when it was released. I got one after having an ep3 and think its a much better car. Surprisingly good for tuning as well....go for it, you only live once..!!!!!

Its not a bad price at all i'd say well worth it and good value for money. You could however spend the same money on and older EP3 but why would you lol. I'll guarantee you'll lose nothing at that price and gain a great deal of driving pleasure :-)

I paid 6500 for the diesel type s last October with 88k on the clock privately so £5500 doesn't sound bad for a type r at all.
