This is interesting.

My wife took our Accord Tourer 2.4 to be serviced at the local Honda garage recently. One of the problems I had noticed on the rare occasions I drive it, was the rad cooling fan comes on a lot, even when the weather is cold.
The gauge never even reaches half way and sometimes the fan runs soon after the car is started!

I was under the impression it should only come on while stuck in traffic, or on a very hot day, not on the motorway on a cold day!

Mechanic at the garage it was perfectly normal.

Is this true?

Cheers

If you have your climate control set to "auto" then the fans will come on a lot as they also cool the a/c heat exchanger (radiator).

Cheers.....Tony..

Thanks,
No climate control, just air con.

Even with it switched off, fans still come on when they shouldn't.
