Can anyone recommend a good S2000 specialist?
Discussion
In or near Essex? I have a misfire at idle but the my local Honda main dealer are nice but clueless. I need somewhere that can diagnose the cause of a random, multi-cylinder misfire before I replace expensive bits.
I have changes the plugs and found them to be rather blackened.
Honda report that the coils look OK.
Compression is uniform.
Air filter good.
No vacuum leaks that I can see.
Exhaust not blowing.
Honda report that the O2 sensors are OK.
Honda adjusted the valves twice.
Honda cleaned the injectors, but not with ultrasound which they hadn't heard of.
I cleaned the idle control valve.
The above leads me to think that maybe it's a fueling issue such as bad pump or filter but I don't have the knowledge to check these or know what to look for so was hoping to find a place with experience.

Prob best to get the injectors checked for spray pattern and cleaned and checked by a injector specialist, As dealers dont have this equipment to do this, i have had a few do this over the years, or could be bad quality fuel, but doubt it may be the fuel quality if it has been going on for more than 3 tank fulls

Thanks, there is a local place that will clean injectors but I think its around £100 and thought Honda should have got most of the dirt off. Saying that if they give a report on the condition and relative condition it may well be worth it. I will e-mail them tomorrow.Has been a very slowly worsening problem for c.3000 miles so couldn't be fuel related.
