NSX-R on topgear?
Discussion
Am I going completely mad or did Clarkson review the NSX-R in one of the early naughties episodes?
I remember quite clearly seeing the review on an episode shown on Dave a few years ago, jogged my memory when I was watching not the nine o'clock news, as Clarkson mentioned he was cut up by a person in a NSX, and when he looked over at the driver it was Rowan Akinson
Searched on the internet, cant find anything apart from Tiff reviewing the NSX.
Just wondering if it actaully was a review or maybe it was just a fleeting reference in the show.
Thanks!

Thats not an R mate.I'm a big NSX fan and I think they should have done a proper test on the NSX-R, not that hypocrite BS Hammond presented (he complained about excessive weight saving on the NSX-R but we all know he's a big 911 GT3 RS fan where the cars even use sticker logos to save weight!).
I know Japanese tests are biased, but most of them point out that because of the stupid Japanese rule of max 280 hp, the Honda engineers only had corners to better lap times on. So that's one of the reasons the NSX-R's are supposed to be absolutely brilliant handling wise.
One cool thing is that the NSX-R engines were blueprinted and rumors has it most of them actually made approx 330 hp. Some of the guys at NSXPrime.com (biggest NSX forum) even got 320+ hp from their regular 2002+ facelift NSX's, as it is rumored that many left over NSX-R engines were put in regular cars.
These cars are gems.
They had an NSX R on it on the same feature/episode that they reviewed the EP3 Type R facelift years ago. I can't remember what they were saying but as someone said above they mentioned mesh below the gear stick as a weight saving extreme.
A quick google search led me to this although I can't watch on my iPhone due to frigging flash plugin.
