If you want more rasp, a centre silencer delete (unsilenced mid or "b" pipe) will add in some more rasp. I have an unsilenced B pipe on my Civic and it went from the flat, smooth sound of a showroom Civic to a much, much raspier tone. I imagine the same will be true for the S2000. From there you will want to upgrade the backbox to a freer-flowing design, which will increase the volume. Most people think a completely unsilenced mid section and straight through back boxes are too loud for casual use (I don't) so bear that in mind before you buy something you will hate. I imagine that some of the S2000 owners will be able to comment on the quality of the various off the shelf systems available.

A word of warning about Milltek though; the quality is undoubtedly great, well made kit for sure, but too quiet and a bit too sensible for a high revving Honda I think - they mainly aim their products at the VAG market, where "sporty but fairly sensible" is more applicable.

Have a search on youtube for "S2000 exhaust" and there is a video on there which has a sound clip of all kinds of options for the S2000.

Gives a good idea of what would float your boat.

Have to say i used a bit of vtec on the way home tonight, and with the top down it really does sound good at change over even with standard exhaust. Love my S2k

Is that an Amuse Titan? Sounds bloody great. I love the way a loud exhaust on a S2000 or Type R really emphasises the throttle response of the engine, you can hear every input with absolute clarity.

Yeh Amuse Titan Dual.

The problem with the Amuse titanium exhausts though is that they do this:-

This is what mine did today, basically goes into self destruct mode and it is quite expensive to repair then, this is probably in the hundreds to fix and titanium is a bh to weld. It has been fixed before and it is just a constant circle now of chasing the cracks. The solution now is to get rid of the mid box and just straight line it with a pipe, but that is easier said than done as getting hold of the pipe is a nightmare!

Get a J's Racing exhaust! I have a J's 70RS Dual (in Stainless Steel) on order which is apparently much better quality...

get an amuse t1 dual exit IF you want your ears to bleed, you don't mind drone and you want to make plod aware of your presence a long time before you turn up!

I loved mind.

I've just had a custom made straight through exhaust with a tiny 4.5"x11" backbox fitted to my Civic Type R, it's effectively a Buddyclub Spec III without the centre silencer, just a straight pipe - it's hilariously loud, drones like mad on the motorway, pops and bangs when lifting off the throttle (or coming down through the gears rolling into a 30 zone!) and if I put my foot down the noise travels a considerable distance. I couldn't hear the radio if I tried - not that I used it anyway and conversation is difficult when the throttle is open more than 25%.

I couldn't be happier with it biggrin

I never thought the Amuse was that bad, it was pretty civilised until it blew a hole in the mid-box, then it got loud. But it is quiet for me off throttle and only really gets noticeable in VTEC. Below VTEC I thought it was almost OEM. Definitely a quality exhaust from that point of view, you could still hold a conversation without it being draining/shouting with the Amuse.
