s2000 AP1 HKS induction kit - advice please......
Discussion
Hi
Thinking of buying the HKS Racing Suction Kit for my S2000. I had a HKS superpowerflow induction kit fitted to a civic type-R in 2005 and it sounded awsome when the VTEC kicked in. Does anyone have experience of this induction kit on their s2000?
Putting cost to one side as I know its expensive....... as well as the HKS bling factor under the bonet...... does this sound good at VTEC changeover, was there any noticable performance gain or maybe a totally new experience of driving the S2000?
Apart from temple tuning and funky power in scotland I havent found any other suppliers. Any ideas....
Thank you
Martin

That expensive - same product is on j-w-racing.co.uk for a tad less.
Can't help you I'm afraid, but have you looked at the PRM intake? It also looks good under the bonnet and from what I hear, sounds amazing as well. Yotube seems to agree as well.
Let me know how you get on as I am after more sounds from the intake, but at the minute can't find one that doesn't affect trottle response or tends to bog down in traffic.

How much his it? I had an AEM V2 I think it was and it was worth it at around £200.Thinking of buying the HKS Racing Suction Kit for my S2000. Hi
Funky power are the cheapest. The prices are the following inclusive of VAT and delivery.
Funky Power 666.80
Temple Tuning 693.02
JW- racing 719.52
I think the pounds to smile ratio would be worth it but its slot of cash to splash if it doesn't work out! Tried to get a second hand one from e-bay, amazon etc for the last 3 months but no joy. It would be great if I could actually hear one in action. I have found various pictures on the net, it looks the business but does it perform well?
I have considered the AEM V2 approiximately 280 listened to the videos on youtube but there is something about this HKS kit
I installed a set of infinity speakers in my front doors last weekend (really easy) sound really well lots of punch and much better than the Honda OEM speakers. Just need to get a nice soundtrack from under the bonet for when i'm blasting through tunnels etc.
I'll give it some more though but I think I might have to go for it.....
Cheers
