Hi Lads i got my 1st CTR 2005 and haven't had the chance yet to realy open it up yet so i was just wondering whats its true speed should be , according to the book it should be 0-60...6.6secs and top end 146mph ....is this true or is it slower or quicker than what they say.....the only mod it has is the replacement Exhaust system which is now a full DC Sports (110mm rear box and still has a cat fitted....many thanx in advance....only managed to get it to 130mph because i ran out of road and it still had plenty of throttle left..smile

You have not really had a chance to "open it up yet" but you've had it to 130mph?

Without sounding like the speed police 130mph in a type r is plenty enough, unless on a track.

Anyway in a closed environment it will keep going. You'll have the speedo knocking 160, but true speed will be more like the 146. It really slows down after 130 so to get any further you're going to need a big road!

Probably the best thing for this thread is for:

a) The OP to read the manual to find out the answer to the question

and

b) The thread to be locked

I wouldnt worry too much about top end , its more about how quickly it gets there.

160 on the clock is 146 GPS, as everyone says the last few MPH takes ages to build.

Had 228 km/h on my TomTom GPS on derestricted autobahn on Sunday which is 142...my friends chipped 535D was off the clock at 160 on his speedo and he was pulling away from me significantly
