Hey guys. I've been looking at a new second car for past week or so looked at many things like 350z mini. Audis. But think I've decided a nice 2004 civic type r is the way to go. Small fun to drive. I already have a weekend car that I love just need something reliable to run about in.

Is there anything I should be looking out for its got 70k on it full service history. Seems tight as a button.
What's the clutch life like
Wil chain ever really need changing.
Any suspension problems.
Ay help would be appreciated did try the search function but didn't find anything.

Cheers in advance
james

Timing chains can stretch. If it does it will get rattly.

Clutch all depends; how it has been driven, etc

Fixed that for you. The chain is inspected on the 75,000 mile service

OP there is a buyers guide here:

The timing chains stretch due to the chain tensioner getting worn, Its a tensioned by oil pressure and lubricated by the engine oil also, so if a car has been run low on oil or to thin a grade oil it usually wears the tensioner out and stretches the chain.
