It was a 2007 nurby blue. Have to say it drove great i was very impressed! It was raining so i had to take it easy but i could still tell it was a joy to drive. All the controls fell to hand and felt superb. I thought the DBW throttle might be a bit laggy but it was fine, even the steering which sometimes gets slated i thought was great. Overall i loved it, just not sold on the blue everything (body, leather, hood, carpets!). I'm really after silverstone or moonrock, but at least i now know that my type r has to go and it's an s2k! Do you guys think its a good time to buy or should i wait til jan/feb after the worst of the winter is over?

The poorer weather and/or nearer Christmas is probably the best time to buy. I'm not a fan of Pensioner Blue either smile

That label has thoroughly stuck! biggrin

Colour - maybe I'm alone, but I think the New Formula Red and Indy Pearl Yellow (biased, me???) look pretty good. If I was going for subtle it'd be black-with-red or maybe moonrock-with-red. Don't like Royal Navy, don't like Silverstone or Nurby. Trying to think what new colours they introduced with '06...seen a lovely pearl-white one (JDM?), and also a pretty decent maroon one.

O/T, the first one I drove was a black '02 with FULL red interior - seats, carpets, dash, transmission tunnel! Looked like a tart's handbag, yet the salesman reckoned it'd be gone in days and I needed to put a deposit down straight away... laugh

thanks for the comments all. The hunt is on. Anything else i should look for apart from service history, condition of hood, usual accident damage?

Suspension bushes!

As you have already posted this on S2ki, don't forget to read the FAQ on there as it is full of useful buying and owning information!

I remember when I drove my first S2000
I dont usually get excited when test driving, well except for my first Impreza turbo (back in the 90s), my legs were shaking
It was a little like that when I drove the Honda, I took it back to the garage and I just wanted to get back in it.
so I didnt leave it too long after that.

There is a blue one with gold wheels I think on s2ki, in greece or cyprus, my fave colour, it looks great, very much like the Mica blue in the old Imprezas

I have a silverstone with red which I equally like

check out a new Honda S2000 Forum - clubS2000 as well

I'm going to stand up for 'Ladyboy Blue' - I like it (bias - yes).

Mine has the dark blue leather seats, but everything else is black leather / carpets / dash etc. Seen a couple with all blue dashes - not for me!

So whats the story behind this new site? People getting fed up with the somewhat derogatory approach of the S2Ki forums moderators?

Nice to see a new S2000 forum, I ended up really disliking the 'well known' one, such rude people.

I personally didn't have a problem with s2ki but after a little bit of research some of the UK members didnt use the main area of the website (mainly USA) and so another site was put online.

Strange how you mention the mods as the new site is banned from being mentioned on s2ki yet they regularly mention theirs on here!

anyway, back to the OP

I have a royal navy and absolutely love it. I got it as its different, I see countless monte, silverstone & moonrock cars.

If you find the right car just buy it, it took me months to find the right one. Don't just limit yourself to 40miles or something aswell otherwise you'll be waiting ages, my last two cars have both been over 120miles away as they were the one.

I agree with that. The S2Ki or S2KUK forum is a strange place and there are some very strange people on there.

There are some knowlegable people but there are many more trolls and people who like to think they know everything about everything and anything and are full of their own importance. It's an internet forum for fk's sake !! Get a life !! It's not a friendly place at all.

That forum has been dying for a while. Let's hope the new club doesn't attract the same idiots and moderator/ chairman types

redface

I like mine. Just like light blue I guess, but prefer black and the gun metal grey colour.

Nurby blue looks great biggrin

Don't see many in that colour but countless black and moonstones. Mine does have the blue interior and leather, which to start with I wasn't too keep on but its grown on me. I do have a black hood though, really don't like the blue one!

I was thinking about a black roof, and yours looks really good. If I keep mine I'm considering anthracite wheels and black roof will look pretty good...

Here is some older pictures, there is no longer an aftermarket exhaust on the car because the drone during out of town driving was just to much!! When I get it back on the road next spring I will be getting the car detailed so I will post some better pictures up then biggrin

Very very nice, red is definitely the best colour for the S2000, different too.
