Isn't it funny how you don't notice things in a test drive that soon become highly annoying a few weeks into the ownership?

I bought a 06 Accord Tourer 2.0 Auto a few weeks back. I had had an Audi A6 Auto previously and got to like the Auto so went for one again.

The test drive it all seemed fine but now I have come to throughly dislike the shift program. Accelerating onto a roundabout it is in 3rd by the time I turn in. That leaves me no power when I come off the roundabout, a dab of the throttle and it instantly (and violently) downshifts to a lower gear. I know it can't predicate what I am about to do but it seems to shift up so early.

Also crusing at top gear on the motorway, if I want to breeze past a slower moving car ahead I would normaly accelerate slightly in top gear still to move past, but the box instantly drops down a gear on the slightest movement of the throttle. Why doesn't it have a kickdown feature where I can decide if I need to drop gears?

Is there any way the dealer can change the shift program to something else? It is so annoying I use the sequential SportShift mode mostly but the goes against the reason of having an Auto.

The dynamic element of the shift program seems to have three modes, Grandad, Good Progress, V-Tech Yo! The last one is fun but doesn't do much for MPG!

Anyone else find it annoying?
