EP3 strange wheezy engine noise!

My 2003 CTR makes a strange airy, wheezy noise at about 3500RPM in every gear! It doesn't sound particularly bad and I'm not too concerned but I was just interested to seem if anyone knew anything about it or whether it was normal.

Also, while I'm here.....does an induction kit have much of an effect on the fuel effiiciency? Or is it so minimal it's not worth worrying about?

Could be

1) Driveshaft heatshield rattling
2) Cam cover rattling
3) A combination of the above two

My guess would be #1

You can take the heatshield off altogether with no ill effect

Induction kit...not worth it on its own usually. Maybe a better noise, but probably no power gain, or mpg increase.

They're best used in conjunction with exhaust mods and a remap.
