I looked at an NSX over the weekend which had the cambelt replaced in 2007, albeit only 10 thousand miles ago.

Is it due for replacement?

If its anything like the rest of the high performance hondas it will be 60 months or 72k miles.

Why risk it.

Every 5 years, think the mileage is lower than 72k though.

So a 2007 change is due next year. Definitely do water pump at the same time, and consider doing aux belts if not done last time (usually last longer, but I wouldn't want to gamble on >10 years).

Not cheap but not too silly prices, although then factor in that doing the cam-belt is the right time to do other stuff (to reduce labour charges):-
- valve clearances
- coolant hoses x lots (depends how old the car is - the oldest cars now have 20 year old rubber containing the only thing stopping the engine from cooking itself!)
- ...and some of the oil seals.

Thanks all for the replies.
Had a failure of nerve eventually. With a cambelt change and possibly a fair few hoses to change on a '91 car (which you can't argue wouldn't be money well spent) it all seemed a tad expensive for a car that's not going to be a keeper.
Will keep an eye out for a late NSX though - one day, one day.....

Spot on. I've had timing belts done on early and late cars and those are the intervals.
