I've just bought an 09 Civic Type R GT and it says on the spec list there is a USB and AUX port for my ipod. I can't for the life of me find it. Checked Glove box, centre console and arm rest (which is where i thought it would be). Is it there as standard or will i have to upgrade to a IPOD package?

please help - thanks

I believe the USB, AUX and Xenons came standard on basically a 59 reg (Sept 09 onwards), however a few of the late "09" plate cars came with them too. My cars a June 09 plate and came with all of the above.

If there isnt a port along with a secondary ciggie lighter in the centre arm rest then you are out of luck by the looks of things. I think you can fit an aftermarket ipod lead that goes in the glovebox but not 100% sure.

OK, thanks for that - definately can't find anything so i think it's not there as opposed to me being thick! I'll invest in an IPOD kit then.

cheers

Cheers SB10 - I'll have a wee look around that website and see what looks best - driving for long hours so want something reliable and good quality.

So disappointed I don't have it built in - it's on spec list so tempted to make the dealer follow through as just bought - might be pushing it a bit.

anyway - cheers mate

If the dealer has put it down on the spec then I suppose its worth trying to bully them into a deal on doing the aftermarket kit smile
